Willow Glen and Pioneer are an even 3-3-2 against one another since December of 2016, but likely not for long. The Rams will face off against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pioneer took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Willow Glen, who comes in off a win.

Willow Glen barely beat Del Mar the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rams never let the Dons get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for Willow Glen, who have now won four matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Pioneer didn't have quite enough to beat Leigh on Thursday and fell 3-2. While losing is never fun, Pioneer can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 514th, while Leigh are ranked 144th).

The win made it two in a row for Willow Glen and bumps their season record up to 7-3-3. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two contests. As for Pioneer, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6-2.

Willow Glen got the 'W' in their previous matchup two weeks ago against Pioneer by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
