Football Recap: Tolsia Takes a Loss

If Tolsia was riding high fresh off their 52-12 takedown of Calhoun last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rebels were outmatched by the Chapmanville Regional Tigers and fell 41-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Rebels were not able to get on the board.

Dakota Dalton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Chapmanville Regional, throwing for 184 yards and three TDs on only 14 passes, while also rushing for 35 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Dalton a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Preston Kovach was another key player, rushing for 118 yards and one score on only 11 carries.

Tolsia's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Chapmanville Regional, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tolsia will square off against Sherman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chapmanville Regional, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Man at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Tigers 6.4, the Hillbillies 14.6) so any points scored will be well earned.
