Softball Recap: Ponce De Leon's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak at Home

Ponce De Leon made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Graceville, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Pirates never let the Tigers get on the board and left with an 11-0 win on Friday. For the Pirates, this counts as revenge for the 22-3 victory the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2019.

Aubrey Murphy made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Murphy was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Murphy wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Clara Martin, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Kiyann Alford was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
