Volleyball Recap: De La Salle Comes Up Short at Home Against Northside

De La Salle unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 2-0 to the Northside Mustangs on Tuesday. The Meteors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-14.

Leading Northside to victory were Jilliyn Yung and Eloise Hodgkins. Yung had four digs and three aces, while Hodgkins had seven assists. That's the most aces Yung has posted since back in September of 2024.

Northside has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, De La Salle is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Aurora Central Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northside, they will challenge Resurrection at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
