Baseball Recap: Columbia Academy Triumphs

Columbia Academy proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by six) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Brookhaven Academy, sneaking past 11-10. The win continues a trend for Columbia Academy in their matchups with Brookhaven Academy: they've now won nine in a row.

Carson Stuart was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Zac McCain, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Columbia Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Columbia Academy's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Brookhaven Academy, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Columbia Academy beat Brookhaven Academy by a score of 8-7 later that day.
