Recap: New Hope Leadership Academy Gladiators vs. Varsity Opponent
The New Hope Leadership Academy Gladiators pushed their score all the way to 67 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 75-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of Varsity Opponent. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (63), New Hope Leadership Academy still had to take the loss.
New Hope Leadership Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Sugar Eaton, who scored 22 points. Eaton has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Trey Hampton was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
New Hope Leadership Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Varsity Opponent, their win bumped their record up to 312-1188-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Hope Leadership Academy the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Anderson C at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th. Anderson C is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Varsity Opponent, they will be playing at home against Christian Community at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
