Volleyball Recap: Sacred Heart Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

There's no place like home for Sacred Heart, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Farragut Admirals on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Valkyries have posted since October 17, 2024.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Sacred Heart who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-18, 18-25, 15-8.

Campbell Miles was the offensive standout of the match as she had nine digs and three assists. Those three assists gave her a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Farragut saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Madelyn Kupferer had ten digs and one assist.

Sacred Heart pushed their record up to 3-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Farragut, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Sacred Heart has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Mercy on the 23rd. As for Farragut, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Knoxville Catholic on the 23rd.
