Football Recap: Roosevelt Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Roosevelt's offense. They were outmatched by the Lincoln Lynx and fell 38-0. The Roughriders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lincoln's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Andre Rogers, who rushed for 84 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher Lee, who rushed for 44 yards and one TD.

Roosevelt's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Lincoln, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Looking ahead, Roosevelt will square off against Ottumwa at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Roughriders will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.29 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lincoln, they will face off against Sioux City East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
