Baseball Game Preview: Polytechnic Panthers vs. de Toledo Jaguars

The Polytechnic Panthers will face off against the de Toledo Jaguars at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Polytechnic and three for de Toledo.

Last Saturday, Polytechnic didn't have quite enough to beat Palm Springs and fell 6-4.

Caiden Kennedy and Elijah Ip stepped up to the plate in a big way. Kennedy went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double, while Ip went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Kennedy has become a key player for Polytechnic: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-8 otherwise.

Meanwhile, de Toledo fell victim to Canyon and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 18-0 to the Cowboys.

Polytechnic's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for de Toledo, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Polytechnic came out on top in a nail-biter against de Toledo in their previous meeting back in February of 2025, sneaking past 9-8. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Jaguars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
