Soccer Recap: University School Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, University School has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pigeon Forge Tigers. If University School were looking for revenge after losing 7-1 to Pigeon Forge when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

University School's goal came courtesy of Cooper Onks, who's now up to two this season.

University School's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 7-3-2. As for Pigeon Forge, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. University School will square off against Chuckey-Doak at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pigeon Forge, they will challenge Cocke County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cocke County's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
