Basketball Game Preview: Ozona Lions vs. Forsan Buffaloes

Ozona is 1-9 against Forsan since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Ozona Lions are taking a road trip to face off against the Forsan Buffaloes at 7:45 p.m. Ozona will be strutting in after a victory while Forsan will be coming in after a defeat.

Ozona took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Eldorado by a score of 58-50.

Forsan has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They came up short against Iowa Park on Saturday, falling 75-49. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Buffaloes have suffered since January 26, 2024.

Ozona is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. As for Forsan, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-5.

Ozona came up short against Forsan in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 52-42. Can Ozona avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
