Baseball Game Preview: Colon Magi vs. Climax-Scotts Panthers

Colon is 0-6 against Climax-Scotts since April of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Magi will take on the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Colon's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Camden-Frontier.

Meanwhile, Climax-Scotts made easy work of White Pigeon on Friday and carried off a 10-4 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

The team relied heavily on Logan Gilbert, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. Gavin Eyre was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Colon might still be hurting after the 12-2 loss they got from Climax-Scotts in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Magi avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
