Softball Recap: Hobart Comes Up Short

Hobart might've scored the first runs on Tuesday, but it was Munster who claimed the real prize. The Brickies took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. Brickies fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Mustangs since on Tuesday.

Emili Knestrict was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ladan Weinman, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Hobart now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Munster, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Hobart wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 11-1 win against Hammond Bishop Noll on the 23rd. As for Munster, they are taking a road trip to challenge Highland at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 11.9 runs per game this season.
