Volleyball Recap: Vernon Takes a Loss

Vernon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Borger Bulldogs. The Lions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in August of 2023.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-9.

Vernon's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Borger, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season.

Vernon will square off against Christ Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Borger, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on West Plains at 7:00 p.m. on September 9.
