Football Recap: Hazel Green Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Huntsville, Hazel Green was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They snuck past the East Limestone Indians with a 19-14 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

The victory got Hazel Green back to even at 1-1. As for East Limestone, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hazel Green will challenge Mae Jemison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Trojans their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for East Limestone, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Russellville at 7:00 p.m. on September 12.
