Volleyball Recap: Jacksonville Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Jacksonville Christian Academy was the 3-2 winner over Hilltop Christian when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Conquerors took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chargers on Thursday. The Conquerors just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

While Jacksonville Christian Academy had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-20, 23-25, 25-20.

Brady Rice paced Jacksonville Christian Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Rice got some help from Joshua Barrientos and his 15 assists. Barrientos and Rice didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with three apiece.

Jacksonville Christian Academy now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Hilltop Christian, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

While Jacksonville Christian Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
