Volleyball Recap: Round Lake Panthers vs. Lakes Eagles
Round Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Lakes Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.
The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-12.
Round Lake's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Lakes, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-8.
Round Lake will square off against Lake Forest Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Lake Forest Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Round Lake surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lakes, their homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Waukegan at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Lakes is facing Waukegan at the right time seeing as Waukegan is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
