Port Barre and St. Edmund are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2018, but likely not for long. The Port Barre Red Devils will head out to take on the St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Port Barre's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matches.

On Thursday, Port Barre made easy work of North Iberville and carried off a 17-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Red Devils, who have now won four contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, St. Edmund was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They came up short against Pine Prairie, falling 19-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Fighting Blue Jays in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost six in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. Edmund fell to 2-1. As for Port Barre, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Port Barre beat St. Edmund 12-7 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Port Barre since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
