Basketball Recap: Santa Rosa Christian Find Success

Santa Rosa Christian won the last time they faced Gulf Pointe Latin and things went their way on Friday too. Santa Rosa Christian escaped with a win against the Gulf Pointe Latin Gladiators by the margin of a single free throw, 35-34. The win made it back-to-back victories for Santa Rosa Christian.

Gulf Pointe Latin's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rebekah Thompson, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 steals. The dominant performance gave Thompson a new career-high in steals. Kaitlyn Lothringer was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds.

Santa Rosa Christian's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Gulf Pointe Latin, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-9.

As of now, neither Santa Rosa Christian nor Gulf Pointe Latin have any future games scheduled.
