Baseball Preview: Goddard Rockets vs. Lovington Wildcats
Goddard is 10-0 against Lovington since May of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Goddard Rockets will be playing at home against the Lovington Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Goddard will be hoping to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.

Ryan Alsup made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits (and not a single walk). Alsup has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't pitched less than five innings in five consecutive pitching appearances. Alsup was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 1-for-5.

Ethan Gonzales spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on seven hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, Fidencio Lujan was incredible, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Mika Pando was another key contributor, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Goddard has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Lovington, their victory bumped their record up to 4-11.
