Columbian was the 3-1 winner over Lexington when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tornadoes fell 3-1 to the Minutemen on Monday. The Tornadoes' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Columbian ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 19-25, 25-22, 25-23.

Among those leading the charge was Maddie Ross, who had seven digs and three aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last six matches.

Columbian's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Lexington, they pushed their record up to 17-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Columbian and Lexington should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Tornadoes (ranked 130th) will meet Clyde (ranked 455th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lexington will face off against Ashland at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (161 vs. 334).
