Baseball Game Preview: Crean Lutheran Saints vs. Canyon Comanches

The Crean Lutheran Saints will head out to challenge the Canyon Comanches at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Crean Lutheran will be strutting in after a win while Canyon will be coming in after a loss.

Crean Lutheran had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Esperanza on Wednesday. The Saints put the hurt on the Aztecs with a sharp 15-9 victory.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Canyon and Brea Olinda, and Brea Olinda kept the tradition alive. The Comanches fell 5-2 to the Wildcats on Wednesday.

Canyon saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dustin Reveles, who went 1-for-3 with one run. Logan Adams also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Canyon has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Crean Lutheran, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.

Crean Lutheran beat Canyon 6-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Saints since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
