Volleyball Recap: Taft Triumphs

While Taft didn't have the best season last year (they finished 15-26), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Fort Bend Clements Rangers on Thursday.

Casyn Jefferson paced Taft's offense, picking up eight kills. Jefferson were helped by Katie Pauley and Addison Duarte, who contributed nine assists each. Finally, Camille Ince kept Taft's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Taft has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Fort Bend Clements, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Taft wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Crockett on the 21st. As for Fort Bend Clements, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Aubrey on the 21st.
