Baseball Recap: Ingraham Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Ingraham took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Ballard, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rams won by a run and slipped past the Beavers 3-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Takeshi Malady tossed a big game, tossing 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits.

At the plate, Ingraham saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brandon Kwon, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Ingraham pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Ballard, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-2.

Coming up, Ingraham will welcome Lincoln at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lynx will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Ballard, they are taking a road trip to face off against Eastside Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Beavers 2.3, the Crusaders 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
