Softball Recap: La Marque Cougars vs. Legacy School of Sport Sciences Titans
La Marque was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Legacy School of Sport Sciences Titans, falling 17-7.

La Marque got a big performance out of Alexa Loubet, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave Loubet a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Karen Salazar, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Loubet wasn't the only one working in the hit department: La Marque kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
La Marque's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Legacy School of Sport Sciences, they moved to 1-4 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.
Looking ahead, La Marque will square off against Bay Area Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. La Marque has given up an average of 12.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. Legacy School of Sport Sciences will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Kinkaid at 4:30 p.m. on April 1st.
