Softball Recap: Central City Value Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Central City Value, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They put the hurt on the Rise Kohyang Tritons with a sharp 21-3 win on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won three contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Gabriela Sanchez, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. Sophia Gallardo was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Central City Value always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Central City Value now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Rise Kohyang, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central City Value will welcome USC-MAE at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. The Jaguars will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least ten runs in their last four games. As for Rise Kohyang, they will challenge Los Angeles Leadership Academy at 2:00 p.m. on the 22nd. The Lions will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
