Volleyball Preview: Versailles Tigers vs. Butler Bears        
        
		
             The Versailles Tigers will venture away from home to  square off against the Butler Bears  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Versailles is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
 Last Thursday, Versailles got the win against Russellville  by a conclusive  3-0.
 A big factor in the win was Versailles' feisty defense: they held Russellville to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 30-28, 25-21,  25-16.
 Among those leading the charge was   Brooklyn Smith, who  had four  aces. What's more,  she also racked up  no  blocks, the mostshe's  had  in  her last three  matchups.
 Meanwhile, Butler narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past Appleton City/Montrose  3-2.
 In the three sets Butler was on fire: they won each by at least ten points. The final score came out to 26-28, 19-25, 25-15, 25-13,  15-4.
  Lanie Hill was a one-man wrecking crew for Butler as she  had 20  digs.
 Versailles' record is now 10-1. As for Butler, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four contests,  which lines up perfectly with their 10-3-1 record  this season.
 Everything went Versailles' way against Butler when the teams last played  back in September of 2023, as Versailles made off with  a  3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Versailles since the  team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
