Soccer Game Preview: Chapel Field Christian vs. Burke Catholic

Chapel Field Christian hasn't had much luck against Burke Catholic recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Lions will look to defend their home pitch against Burke Catholic at 4:15 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Chapel Field Christian took a loss when they played away from home last Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They never let Chester get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Chapel Field Christian wouldn't have won without David Acuna, who scored the game-winner.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Burke Catholic made sure to put some goals up on the board against Tri-Valley on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Bears. Considering Burke Catholic has won three contests by more than three goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Chapel Field Christian's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Burke Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Chapel Field Christian might still be hurting after the 5-1 loss they got from Burke Catholic when the teams last played back in September. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Lions were down 4-0.
