Basketball Recap: Sheffield Takes a Loss

Sheffield lost against Oakhaven back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Sheffield Knights lost 68-43 to the Oakhaven Hawks.

Amari Spates continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Oakhaven, putting up 17 points. Spates' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Ayden Deener was another key player, earning 12 points.

Sheffield dropped their record down to 1-18 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Oakhaven, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sheffield won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Mitchell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Oakhaven, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against Memphis School of Excellence - Cordova at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Oakhaven is facing Memphis School of Excellence - Cordova at the right time seeing as Memphis School of Excellence - Cordova is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
