Volleyball Preview: Harrison Raiders vs. Western Boone Stars

Harrison has been away from home for three games now, but on Tuesday they'll finally make their return. They will welcome the Western Boone Stars at 7:00 p.m.

Last Saturday, Harrison didn't have quite enough to beat Mt. Vernon and fell 3-2.

Harrison took Mt. Vernon into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-22, 25-23, 23-25, 15-9.

Despite the loss, Harrison got top-tier performance from Kaylee Swihart, who had 13 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Swihart has posted in her last eight games.

Meanwhile, Western Boone came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Hot Dogs as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-17, 25-3.

Western Boone's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Olivia Smith, who had nine digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabel Adams, who had four digs and three aces.

Western Boone couldn't miss and finished the game having scored on 63.2% of their attack attempts. They are a perfect 3-0 when when their percentage is at least 0.4.
