Volleyball Recap: Prairie View Takes a Loss

Prairie View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Humboldt Cubs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cubs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Saturday.

While Prairie View was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-14.

Humboldt can attribute much of their success to Skylar Hottenstein, who had five digs and three aces.

Prairie View's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Humboldt, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Prairie View will challenge Midway at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Humboldt, they will face off against Oswego at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
