Flatirons Academy is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Prospect Ridge Academy: they outscored them in every quarter. The Bison's defense stepped up to hand the Miners a 46-0 shutout on Friday. The matchup marked the Bison's most dominant win of the season.

Flatirons Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Caleb Doughty, Isaiah Figueroa, Blaise Doughty, and Jack Joyner picked up one apiece. Caleb is also on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Meanwhile, Limon waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Outlaws 42-8. The Badgers' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Camdyn Tacha and Jacob Jaklich. Tacha rushed for 28 yards and two scores while Jaklich rushed for 85 yards and one TD on only nine carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns Tacha has posted since back in September of 2024. Another big playmaker for Limon was Drey Tacha, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Limon proved: they limited Yuma to a paltry 2.2 yards per carry. While two picked up at least five total tackles, Tacha stood above the rest. He rushed for 28 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Limon didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 5.8.

Flatirons Academy now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Limon, their record is now 8-1.

Flatirons Academy was taken down by Limon 41-13 in their previous meeting back in September. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Bison were down 41-0.
