Preview: Louisville Lions vs. Douglas County West Falcon
The Louisville Lions will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Douglas County West Falcon at 6:00 p.m. Louisville is out to stop a 13-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
Louisville suffered their biggest defeat since December 9, 2023 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 47-16 loss at the hands of Fort Calhoun. Louisville was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-4.
Meanwhile, even though Omaha Nation scored an imposing 61 points last Saturday, Douglas County West still came out on top. Douglas County West secured a 66-61 W over Omaha Nation.
Grace Holm continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Grimm, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Louisville has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Douglas County West, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
Louisville took a serious blow against Douglas County West when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 68-26. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Louisville was down 34-11.
