Basketball Recap: Wild Rose Takes a Loss

Wild Rose lost against Iola-Scandinavia back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wild Rose Wildcats took a blow against the Iola-Scandinavia Thunderbirds, falling 78-36. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 437th, while the Thunderbirds are ranked 88th).

Wild Rose is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8. As for Iola-Scandinavia, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Wild Rose Wildcats duke it out with the Pittsville Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Iola-Scandinavia, they will square off against Amherst at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Iola-Scandinavia is facing Amherst at the right time seeing as Amherst is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
