Basketball Game Preview: Annapolis Area Christian Eagles vs. Chesapeake Cougars

Annapolis Area Christian hasn't had much luck against Chesapeake recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Annapolis Area Christian Eagles will take on the Chesapeake Cougars in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, Annapolis Area Christian ended up a good deal behind Eastern Tech and lost 50-35. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Chesapeake put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their match with ease, bagging a 64-35 win over Sts. Peter & Paul. The Cougars' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Chesapeake pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.7 points per game. As for Annapolis Area Christian, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Annapolis Area Christian couldn't quite finish off Chesapeake when the teams last played back in December of 2017 and fell 56-54. Thankfully for Annapolis Area Christian, Brooke Worrell (who went 11 for 25 on her way to 32 points and six rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
