Football Recap: Apex Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Apex had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-4 to make it four. They took a blow against the Jordan Falcons, falling 53-7. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-0.

When it comes to explaining why Apex lost, don't look at Kaiden Dupree. Despite the final result, he rushed for 120 yards and one TD while picking up 7.1 yards per carry.

As for Jordan, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.8 points on average this season.

Jordan was led to victory by Damien Hayes and Landon Melton. Hayes rushed for 188 yards and five scores while picking up 11.8 yards per carry, while Melton rushed for 149 yards and one touchdown on only five carries. Those five rushing touchdowns gave Hayes a new career-high.

Apex has already played their next matchup, a 27-0 loss against Green Hope on the 26th. As for Jordan, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 28-7 victory against Apex Friendship on the 26th.
