Football Recap: Sunset Takes a Loss

Sunset fell victim to Hollywood Hills and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Spartans, falling 56-0. The defeat leaves the Knights still looking for their first win of the season.

Hollywood Hills' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was David Boeckel, who threw for 262 yards and three TDs while completing 80% of his passes, and also rushed for 32 yards. Boeckel is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played. A healthy portion of Boeckel's aerial production (117 yards to be exact) went to Gareus Nanton, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Sunset's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Hollywood Hills, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Sunset will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Coral Park at 3:30 p.m. on October 3. As for Hollywood Hills, they will face off against McArthur at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Spartans' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
