Soccer Game Preview: Scottsboro vs. Arab

The Scottsboro Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Arab Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Scottsboro's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Scottsboro fell victim to Central Magnet and their airtight defense on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Central Magnet. While losing is never fun, Scottsboro can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 120th in Alabama, while Central Magnet are ranked 17th in Tennessee).

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Arab was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to Brewer.

Arab now has a losing record of 5-6-1. As for Scottsboro, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7-3.

Everything went Scottsboro's way against Arab when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Scottsboro made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Scottsboro since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
