Baseball Game Preview: Mullins Auctioneers vs. Loris Lions

Mullins is 0-9 against Loris since March of 2015 but things could change on Wednesday. The Mullins Auctioneers will be playing at home against the Loris Lions at 6:30 p.m. Mullins has given up an average of 14.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Mullins is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to Marion, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Mullins saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andre Littlejohn, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base. That hit marked the first that Littlejohn got this season.

Meanwhile, Loris beat Aynor 8-5 on Tuesday. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Blue Jackets recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Aiden Suggs was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Loris: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 1-2 otherwise. Suggs was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases.

In other batting news, Ethan Hardee and Jackson Huff did most of the damage at the plate: Hardee scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Huff scored a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Huff a new career-high in RBI (three).

Loris now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Mullins, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
