Basketball Recap: Salem Gets the Win

Salem saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They came out on top against the McDonald County Mustangs by a score of 44-32.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dakota O'Brien, who posted 11 points and eight boards. That was a full 34.4% of McDonald County's points, marking the fourth time in a row O'Brien has earned more than a third of the team's points. Jamie Washam was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds.

Salem's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for McDonald County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-2.

Salem didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-45 loss against Greenbrier on the 31st. As for McDonald County, they have also already played their next contest, a 53-41 victory against Waldron on the 31st.
