Soccer Recap: Seaforth Extends Home Winning Streak to 11

It's playoff time, and Seaforth had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged out the Manteo Redskins 2-1 on Monday. That's two games straight that Seaforth have won by just one goal.

Amara Darden and Caitlin Erman scored both of Seaforth's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 70 goals.

Seaforth pushed their record up to 20-2-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those 11 matchups. As for Manteo, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-7.

Looking ahead, Seaforth will head out on the road to challenge Franklin Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Franklin Academy will roll in looking for their 23rd straight victory, something Seaforth surely won't give up without a fight. Manteo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
