Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Borrego Springs couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rock Academy Warriors on Thursday. The Rams' defeat signaled the end of their 13-game winning streak.

Alexis Urquidez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as he's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Mauricio Rodriguez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Borrego Springs' loss dropped their record down to 16-3. As for Rock Academy, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-3.
