Basketball Recap: Allen Park Triumphs

Allen Park lost to Edsel Ford back in February, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Allen Park Jaguars came out on top against the Edsel Ford Thunderbirds by a score of 57-46. That's two games straight that the Jaguars have won by exactly 11 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Allen Park and bumps their season record up to 7-2. As for Edsel Ford, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Allen Park will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Melvindale at 4:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Allen Park knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Melvindale likes a good challenge. As for Edsel Ford, they will finish 2024 at home by hosting Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on December 27th.
