Basketball Recap: Hill Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

Del Mar came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Hill, but Nicolas Huerta wouldn't allow it. The Hill Falcons walked away with a 60-51 win over the Del Mar Dons on Friday thanks in part to Huerta, who shot 6-for-10 from deep and almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in steals (five).

Another player making a difference was Anthony Sanchez, who went 8 of 13 en route to 17 points along with five assists and four steals. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Hill is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-15 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Del Mar, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-13.

Hill will challenge Yerba Buena at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Del Mar has already played their next match (against Overfelt), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
