Basketball Recap: Auburn Takes a Loss

Auburn has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-51 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tahoma Bears. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 59-56 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tahoma to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maryn King, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 13 points. Logan Girias was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

Auburn's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Tahoma, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2.

Auburn didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 52-12 victory against Auburn Riverside on the 9th. As for Tahoma, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-13 win against Stadium on the 9th.
