Soccer Recap: Vianney Takes a Loss

Vianney was the 3-2 winner over De Smet Jesuit when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Golden Griffins fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 2-1 on Monday. That's two games in a row now that Vianney have lost by just one goal.

Vianney's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-8-2. As for De Smet Jesuit, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Vianney will venture away from home to take on Burroughs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for De Smet Jesuit, they will face off against St. Louis University at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
