After flying high against Penns Manor on Monday, West Shamokin came back down to earth. The Wolves fell just short of the Marion Center Stingers by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. The Wolves' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

West Shamokin saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Elkin, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

West Shamokin's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 9-3. As for Marion Center, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 9-0.

While West Shamokin had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
