Basketball Recap: Scituate Comes Up Short

Scituate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 60-45 to the Plymouth South Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Sailors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Panthers are ranked 45th).

Scituate's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Plymouth South, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Scituate won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Archbishop Williams at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Scituate is facing Archbishop Williams at the right time seeing as Archbishop Williams is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Plymouth South, they will head out to square off against Bourne at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
