Football Recap: Desert Vista Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Desert Vista had lost seven straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-4 to make it eight. They were outmatched by the ALA - Queen Creek Patriots and fell 49-7. The game marked the Thunder's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Several Thunder players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaeden Williams, who picked up 44 receiving yards and one touchdown.

ALA - Queen Creek's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Britton Dewitt had an outrageously good game as he threw for 252 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 75% of his passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. ALA - Queen Creek also got a significant boost from Bobby Nesbit, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 93 yards.

Desert Vista and ALA - Queen Creek will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Thunder see the field they'll take on Casteel at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for ALA - Queen Creek, their break will end when they face Queen Creek at 7:00 p.m. on the 16th.
