Baseball Game Preview: Coral Park Rams vs. Southridge Spartans

For the first time this season, Coral Park will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Tuesday. They will head out on the road to face off against the Southridge Spartans at 6:00 p.m. Coral Park has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since February 10.

Coral Park lost 7-1 to Braddock on Friday.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Southridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Coral Reef on Thursday as Southridge made off with a 7-1 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Spartans have posted against the Barracudas since March 11, 2019.

Southridge is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. Coral Park's loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Coral Park might still be hurting after the 12-1 defeat they got from Southridge in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Coral Park avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
